Headline Award Categories
Video awards
Best Character Vid [The Another Hero Award]
All fanvids in this category should be about character. These are character studies in video form, either set to music or not. They must be about ASH-bases life-forms. Crossover vids are allowed only if the majority of focus is on ASH characters.
Best Story Vid [The Messin’ with Magic Award]
All fanvids in this category must tell a story. It can be a retelling of events from a show, two characters falling in love, or clips put together to make an original story. Crossovers are allowed as long as a main character is ASH-based.
Best Tony Tribute Vid [The Staring at the Sun Award]
All fanvids in this category must be a tribute to Tony Head himself. Character clips are fine as long as the video is dedicated to Tony Head the actor and not the character he played.
Fan Pick (Voted) [The Under My Skin Award]
This is a voted category. All fanvids from the other categories are automatically entered and the one with the most votes wins Fan Favorite for the year.
Art/Graphics Awards
Best Graphic [The Qu’est Ce Que J’ai Fait Award]
All entries must be computer generated graphics, banners, or screen cap/gif sets (Tumblr). They can focus on either an ASH-based character, or Tony Head himself.
Best Manip [The Change Award]
All entries must be photographic manipulations. They can focus on either an ASH-based character, or Tony Head himself.
Best Artwork (Paintings and sketches) [The Owning My Mistakes Award]
All entries must be original artwork, either digital or otherwise. They can focus on either an ASH-based character, or Tony Head himself.
Fan Pick (Voted) [The Angels in Many Guises Award]
This is a voted category. All artwork and graphics from the other categories are automatically entered and one with the most votes wins Fan Favorite for the year.
Fanfiction
All fiction in these categories must be between 500 and 25,000 words. Please see rating restriction for each category.
Giles
Best Gen Fic [The Watcher Watchers Award]
All fic entries must focus on only Giles, or his friendships with other characters. Any pairings should be only in the background of the story. All ratings accepted.
Best Romantic Fic [The Twosome of Cuteness Award]
All fic entries must focus on Giles paired with another character. These stories should be either fluff or romance (budding or established). All ratings accepted.
Best Smut Fic [The Good Squirm Award]
All fic entries must focus on Giles in a pairing, threesome, or moresome. These are the sexy PWP stories. Ratings should be FRM or FRAO (R or NC17).
Best Dark Fic [The Dark Age Award]
All entries must be dark fiction. These stories should focus on evil or dark subjects (torture, rape, death, ect…) Evil Giles, or Vampire Giles. All ratings accepted.
Fan Pick (Voted) [You Were the One I Loved Award]
This is a voted award. All nominated Giles fics are automatically entered. The story receiving the most votes wins Fan Favorite Giles Fic of the year.

Other Characters
Best Gen Fic [The Best Thing Since Rainbows Award]
All fic entries must focus on only the ASH character, or his friendships with other characters. Any pairings should be in the background of the story. All ratings accepted.
Best Romantic Fic [The Imagine You and Me Award]
All fic entries must focus on an ASH character paired with another character. These stories should be either fluff or romance (budding or established). All ratings accepted.
Best Smut Fic [The Gold Blend Award]
All fic entries must focus on an ASH character in a pairing, threesome, or moresome. These are the sexy PWP stories. Ratings should be FRM or FRAO (R or NC17).
Best Dark Fic [The Legal Assassin Award]
All entries must be dark fiction. These stories should focus on evil or dark subjects (torture, rape, death, ect…) or an ASH character being evil. All ratings accepted.
Fan Pick (voted) [The May the Best Man Win Award]
This is a voted award. All nominated ‘Other Character’ fics are automatically entered. The story receiving the most votes wins Fan Favorite ASH-based Life-form fic of the year.
Additional Fiction Awards
Best New Fiction [The In Every Generation Award]
Entries must have been posted within three(3) years prior to nomination and be by contributors active in the fandom for fewer than five(5) years. All characters, genres, and ratings accepted.
Best Short One-Shot [The Little British Award]
This category is for stand-alone drabbles (under 500 words). All entries must focus on an ASH character. Any rating accepted.
Best Long-fic or Series [The Epic Award]
This category is for works over 25,000 words. These works can be one long story, or several stories meant to be read together. Please note that, though we have not put an upper limit on word count, extremely long series’ might be difficult for our judges to finish. All works must focus on an ASH character or pairing. Any rating accepted.
Best characterization [The Behind Green Eyes Award]
Entries may be either gen. or romance. This category is for the best characterization of an ASH character. All ratings accepted. Crossovers allowed. (Please indicate character when nominating.)
Best Crossover [The Mystical Convergence Award]
All fic entries must be crossovers with other works (books, TV, movies, radio…). These stories must have an ASH character as one of its main characters. Gen. or romance and all ratings accepted.
Best fic with multiple ASH-base characters [The Hydra Award]
All fic entries must have two of more ASH characters or multiples of the same ASH character in them. These are crossovers and stories where Tony runs into himself. Gen or romance and all ratings accepted.
Special Service Award
Special service to the Tony Head fandom award (Voted) [Head-case of the Year Award]
This is a voted award to recognize individuals who have given their time and effort during the preceding year to furthering and celebrating our shared love for Anthony Stewart Head and his many inspiring works and charitable endeavors. (When nominating, please give a short statement of why they deserve this award.)
